I will never Ban Okada because i Belongs to the Working Class - Gov. Oshiomhole Speaks

A few states have banned okada. Do you have any plans to do same?



I think it’s, for me, a class issue and I belong to the working class, so I cannot ban Okada. First, I believe that okada is a response to certain deficit in our intra-urban transportation system. From the 60s to the 70s to the 80s, we never had okada. If you ask a lady to take a ride on a motorbike it was like a taboo. Now it has became fashionable to have a woman and two children on top of a bike. It is not a culture choice. It is as a result of deficit in our intra-city transportation system.

A Whole Family Rely on the Income of that Man you called an Okada Rider, For this Reason, I will never Ban Okada.

The Nigerian Air Force has recorded some giant strides in the last one year leading to the current successful onslaught against Boko Haram terrorists in every part of the North East where they have hitherto held sway. Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Adesola Amosu said some of these was in the area of continuation of fleet, logistics and infrastructural renewal, which include acquisition of new aircraft like the King Air 350, Mi- Series Helicopter Gunship, UAVs and DA-42 Diamond Aircraft. Benin Police Arrests 14 JSS Students For Alleged Cultism

The police in Edo State have arrested 14 Junior Secondary School students over their alleged involvement in cult-related activities in Benin, the state capital. It was learnt that the students, aged between 12 and 15, were nabbed when a crack team of policemen stormed Oguola Secondary School at Saint Saviour in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state last Thursday. No fewer then 56 persons had been arrested by the Nigeria Police for cult-related activities ‎in the state. According to a source in the school, eight of the suspects were apprehended at flash spots within the school compound. Their arrest, it was learnt, had prompted the police to conduct a search on some students in the classrooms, where items believed to be emblems of notorious cult groups were recovered from them.
