A 10-year-old Mexican girl has given birth to a baby boy after a 31-week pregnancy, according to reports. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a fake soldier, Samuel Johnson, for impersonation. According to the authorities of the command, Johnson was arrested on September 17, 2012, in full military uniform with the rank of lance corporal. He claimed to be member of the Nigerian Army attached to Ojo Cantonment, Lagos. Three police walkie talkies, 10 pairs of military uniforms, four pairs of military boots and six military belts were recovered from him. Residents of the area woke up early this morning to find a new born baby stone dead near a refuse dump right before the entrance of Gowon Estate at Ponle bus stop. A 34-year-old official of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, was Tuesday crushed to death in his attempt to arrest a driver who reportedly violated traffic regulation at Oke-Afa, in the Isolo area of Lagos. An eyewitness, who identified himself simply as Mr. Oluwole, narrated that “LASTMA official was pursuing the driver, as he turned to Okota lane, the LASTMA official jumped on the vehicle, but lost his grip and fell off as the driver swerved to Isolo route, killing him in the process. ” Meanwhile, LASTMA General Manager, Babatunde Edu, has advised motorists to obey the state’s traffic laws and order and desist from “attacking, maiming or assaulting innocent officers who are tirelessly working to ensure that we get to our various destinations on time and safely.”
