A 43-year-old muslim Imam at Educational Legacy College’s Mosque in Ibadan, Oyo State, Isiaka Salimonu has been arrested for raping a 15-year-old girl, simply identified as Yetunde.   Naijaloaded gathered that the Imam, whose daughter and Yetunde are classmates, had been wooing the innocent girl for the past 10 months without success. Nigerian Air Force Acquires Sophisticated Aircraft To Protect Nigeria

The Nigerian Air Force has recorded some giant strides in the last one year leading to the current successful onslaught against Boko Haram terrorists in every part of the North East where they have hitherto held sway. Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Adesola Amosu said some of these was in the area of continuation of fleet, logistics and infrastructural renewal, which include acquisition of new aircraft like the King Air 350, Mi- Series Helicopter Gunship, UAVs and DA-42 Diamond Aircraft. Speaking on the celebration of 51st anniversary of the force in Abuja, which also marks his second anniversary as the 19th Chief of the Air Staff, Amosu said “I am happy to inform you that so much have been achieved for the NAF within the period under review.” In addition, he said the NAF have successfully installed and programmed newly acquired Harris 7850 multiband radios in the North East to aid operations against insurgency. News:- Bomb Discovered In Abuja Catholic School

The men of the bomb disposal units of the Nigeria Police on Thursday foiled a bomb attack on St. Alloysius Schools, Area 3, Garki, Abuja. A security man, who briefed the Head Teacher of the schools, Sister Philomena Akem, said the item was planted under a mango tree near where pupils buy biscuits and other items after school. According to the security man, a woman who saw the bag became curious and called the attention of the church security personnel to the strange item. He said when the security personnel found the object they in turn called the policemen on duty at the St. Alloysius Catholic Arch Diocese to the bomb. He added that the policemen alerted the bomb disposal unit which came in to defuse the device. It was learnt that the incident caused a serious panic among parents, residents and passersby around the area while the police team cordoned off the road to prevent access to the device during the operation to defuse it.
